WW - Heuer "Viceroy" Autavia Chronomatic, automatic, 42mm x 47mm to lug tips, 20mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back case with bidirectional tachymeter bezel, round pump pushers set on opposite side of winding crown, aftermarket stainless steel bracelet, original black reverse panda with applied silver indices with lumed tips, red painted accents, date aperture at 6, two inset subregisters for minute recording and hour recording, 17J cal 12, s#302006, triple signed. Part of the historically significant partnership for project 99, Heuer along with Hamilton/Buren, Breitling and Dubois-Depraz set out to construct the world's first automatic chronograph, although who was truly "first" is up for endless debate among vintage collectors.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, chronograph functions and resets properly, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide; excellent-plus dial with one small oil spot near 12; hands; lightly polished case shows very light wear, still retains its original sunburst finish to bezel, tachymeter insert retains its original luminous pip, several light dings on the backs of the lugs; original signed Heuer crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
